Events Calendar
Magnificent Motors This was better than last year
weather wise and we didn't lose our marquee. Saturday was the best day
with Sunday having a few showers. The fund raising was slow but we all
had a good time.
Eastbourne Arndale Centre Once again this is our main
event. We had the biggest tombola yet with over £800 of prizes on offer
and this reflected in our takings the 3 day event raised £1,800 by the
time we had some money donated by chocamour who come in with us.
New to this year We have been invited to 2 charity football
matches in Eastbourne to sell prize draw tickets so will be interesting
to see how we do. dates are 21st and 22nd of July and Sunday 12th August
with ex pro's from Arsnal coming. Loions club event 15th July
We have been invited to their fun day on Hailshame reck. We will be
setting up the Italian Job marquee and running a tombola to test the
waters. hopefully the weather will be good and we do well
FESTIVAL OF TRANSPORT 25-27 AUGUST After being put in a bad place
last year we hope that we are placed in a better area this year for fund
raising. The event it self is a good one and has a very good turn out of
exhibitors and visitor alike. MINI CRUISE 2nd SEPTEMBER After
my last cruise that was very well attended and liked I have organised
another one. This will take us from Beachy Head to The Farmers Pub at
Scaynes Hill where we will stop for 45 min's to re-group and have a
drink. Then of to Hever and will stop again for 30min's to re-group and
drink if needed before heading back towards Eastbourne stopping at
Filching Manor for a ideal photo shoot and be treated to a tour of the
private motor collection for £3 and if your up for it 15min's karting
for £10. If that wasn't enough I have arranged a special price carvery
at the star inn with reserved parking for £4.99 so come on join in.
Meeting at Beachy Head car park to head off at 11.00 LAUGHTON 8-9 SEPTEMBER Again
this is a goodie with live music in the beer tent at night and a massive
firework display at the end. The only problem is getting out we took
over one hour last year to get out then all roads where blocked so just
as well i have a electric fan to keep the engine cool. Italian Job
Run 26th Oct to 3rd Nov This will be the 6th run in a row with my
mini and hopefully will give me no trouble. We will be leaving on Monday
22nd October and taking our usual route through Germany into the tirol
to attempt the Timmelsjoch mountain pass of 2,009 metres. The first leg
we will be driving around 600 miles to get right down south Germany.
After that we will be hoping to spend a day in the Mountains and taking
lots for photo's and video too. After that we are staying at lake Garda
before the dash to Venice where the event starts.
